I joined the Transformation Challenge to finally do something I said I would and actually stick to it. I always put others before myself as most fulltime working mothers do. The challenge helped me to realise I need to put myself first when it comes to health. I learnt to love new eating habits and not reward myself with food. I decided to join the Body Transformation Challenge as I’d got to a point with my weight loss journey where I just couldn’t shift anymore and even though I knew in my head that I needed to further change my eating habits to help get to my goal I just didn’t have the focus. In perfect timing that’s when the challenge came up and I decided I was definitely in! Doing the challenge really helped to reset my focus and goals and overall I was able to lose a further 4.6kg, 5.8 cm from my waist and 5.9 cm from my hips and never felt bett​​​​​er. Doing the challenge was so easy to participate, following the meal plan was very easy and what I especially liked was how everyone that was part of the challenge at Striders was so supportive of each other and it never felt like a challenge to participate.

Our method of SUCCESS stems from 3 core components – Fat Loss, Muscle Toning and Knowledge & Confidence.

We give unlimited access to all cardio classes to allow you to travel at an intensity that is appropriate for you. If you haven’t exercised in years you may wish to begin with 1-2 cardio sessions and progress to more sessions as your fitness level increases. However, if you regard yourself as someone who is reasonably fit, you would be better suited to participating in 3 or more sessions to further challenge yourself. The choice is yours.

The component that will really set you apart is the Muscle Toning sessions that come with the guidance of qualified, experienced and supportive Trainers. These sessions will help set you up for long term success - giving you stunning definition so you have the ability to burn more calories with no extra effort.

All while doing this; you’ll be gaining the Confidence & Knowledge from expert trainers that take a unique approach involving education, support, assistance and giving you someone in your corner who is always there to make sure you have the tools you need.

In conjunction, we will design a meal plan based on your body type, body composition and amount of activity you are doing each week to ensure that your food is optimised for maximum fat burn, without depleting your energy or starving yourself. The key to an effective meal plan is for it to be easy, effective, and nutritionally complete so that you can stay consistent and continue without feeling like you're missing out.

When I think of striders I think family. I joined striders in June this year as I had watched 2 of my friends achieve amazing results. Not long after joining Striders, a chance to participate in the 6 Week Body Transformation Challenge came up, so I signed myself and my partner up. The nutritional part of the challenge was easy to follow and if you didn't like something the trainers worked with you to look for alternatives. I was even able to alter it to my budget and taste and still get amazing results. I did struggle to cut down my alcohol consumption which I personally felt like I was failing, but I approached Zach, thinking he was going to make me feel bad about it, but instead he took the time to chat and help me get back on track. I felt comfortable to chat about anything else that I was struggling with throughout the challenge. I managed to lose 3.5kilos by the end of the challenge but the real results showed in the measurements and skin folds taken and the total of almost 5% body fat lost. After the challenge my partner and I have since gone on to do PT sessions with Zach.
