Q:

Do I have to be fit to get started?

A:

The best time to start is now. We welcome people of all shapes, sizes and abilities. Working with a Striders Personal Trainer means your program will be tailored to what you are ready for now, and will work with you at your pace to achieve things you never thought possible.

Q:

I have an injury, can this still work for me?

A:

Everyone’s requirements are different, that’s why you are the main focus. Your Personal Trainer will ask for feedback during your session to ensure everything is to suit. If there are exercises that cause any pain, your Trainer will offer alternative methods or even provide a complete work around.

Q:

What is the price?

A:

In order to achieve the best results, we need to ensure that we are taking all of your needs into account. Things that we take into account are body type, body composition, current activity level, nutrition, motivation, time restrictions and more. Once we have ascertained these elements, we will be able to provide the best solution that fits you.

Q:

How many times a week should I be training?

A:

This all depends on what stage of your journey you’re at. If you’re just starting, 2-3 sessions per week is a good place to begin. If you’re more experienced and have undergone a training plan in the past then you can start bumping this number up. It’s imperative to listen to your body however. A good workout-to-rest ratio will ensure that your body has enough time to recover and advance growth, leaving you feeling more energetic and vibrant.

Q:

How will I feel after my workouts?

A:

Ideally, post-workout you should be feeling energised from the release of endorphins. In the coming 24-72 hours you will most likely experience some tenderness and stretching in your muscles. If the pain becomes moderate, it may be a sign that your body is not ready for that level of intensity. As you progress on your journey, these feelings will become less and less.

Q:

When should I arrive for my session?

A:

Optimally you want to arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled session to warm up on the cardio equipment and perform any specific dynamic stretches/activations necessary. This will prep your body for the session to come and allow you to get the most benefit possible.
